Every fall, massive schools of bait gather along Baja’s Pacific coast—and everything follows. Striped marlin, dorado, tuna, wahoo and more converge on Magdalena Bay, creating one of the wildest saltwater fly fishing opportunities in Mexico.
We fish from Puerto López Mateos, a small working fishing town tucked inside the bay, chasing feeding marlin offshore and exploring beaches, mangroves and inshore waters when the conditions call for it.
