Stripping baskets are really the only line management solution for making long casts from the sand/surf/ rocks in the wind: dorky but essential. The cones allow the line to coil naturally and keep it from tangling. There is a hole in the top of each cone so you can insert 4-5” of heavy monofilament line (think weed whacker) for additional line guidance.
